You want to park your camping equipment within a built-up area for more than 3 days. Or you may have to temporarily park a large vehicle within a built-up area, other than in the designated areas. You need permission (parking permit) for this. You apply for this with DigiD or eHerkenning.
What do you need to know
You need a parking permit for:
- Parking with parking ban
- Parking large vehicles (longer than 6 meters or higher than 2,40 meters, including load), for example a truck, moving van or crane, other than in the designated areas (see the heading 'Large Vehicles')
- Parking a camping equipment, for example a caravan or camper, or trailer, if you want to park for more than 3 days
Parking on roadsides, parks and public gardens is prohibited.
Large vehicles
- Large vehicles are not allowed to park within built-up areas, except in designated areas:
- New Havenweg
- 1st Loswal
- 2st Loswal
- Zuiderloswal
- Extended Zuiderloswal
- Franciscusweg, with the exception of the first 100 meters from Kerkelandenlaan
- You may park in the above places for a maximum of 3 days in a row
- A vehicle is large like this:
- is 6 meters or longer
- And/or is higher than 2,4 meters
- If you need to park a large vehicle in a location other than the above locations (for example for work), you must request an exemption.
Camping gear
- A camping vehicle is a vehicle that is used for recreation or for purposes other than traffic, for example a camper or caravan
- You may park your camping equipment within built-up areas for a maximum of 3 days in a row
- Always moving the camping equipment is not allowed
- If you want to park for more than 3 days, you can request a parking exemption
Treatment request
- Not every parking exemption is given
- If your application shows that a temporary traffic measure is needed, such as a traffic plan (diversion, signs), the municipality will contact you within 2 working days. This application takes a maximum of 4 weeks
- For a simple request, such as a moving van or longer parking for your camping equipment: 5 working days before you know whether you will receive the parking exemption
- Add a clear situation sketch. For example, an image from Google maps of the top view. You then draw the vehicle with the dimensions
- A document in which you describe the work and information about the vehicle (type, number of axles and weight, etc.) or other useful information
What does it cost
Time | Costs of incidental exemption |
---|---|
1 - 7 days | € 45,00 |
maximum 1 month | € 85,90 |
Longer than 1 month | €171,85 (for each immediately following month or part thereof up to the maximum of the annual rate) |
Year | € 241,70 |
You also pay a parking fee if you park in a paid parking area.
