These laws protect prospective tenants and tenants against undesirable rental behavior. Landlords and mediation agencies must comply with these rules. If they do not, you can report it.
Division of building or house and/or rental rooms
Converting a building or home to accommodate multiple households (multiple occupancy) is only permitted under strict conditions. You can investigate the feasibility of your plans or submit an environmental permit application directly.
Hospitality rental
If you have spare space in your home and wish to rent it out, in many cases you do not need a permit. However, it is important that you are familiar with the rules regarding renting out rooms to lodgers.
Report vacancy
If you own a home that has been vacant for more than 6 months, you are obliged to report this to us.
