You live for the most part in Hilversum, but you do not (yet) have a permanent home address. You can use a postal address to receive mail. You will then receive government mail temporarily at the address of a friend, acquaintance or family member. Sometimes you can use a temporary postal address from the municipality.
What do you need to know
- The address you provide is of a house or institution. A company or PO box number may not
- The resident of this address must give written permission
- From now on you will receive all mail from the government at the letter address
- The resident of this address must deliver the mail to you
- You pass on your mailing address to other organizations yourself
- If you are unable to find a postal address, you can sometimes use the temporary postal address of the municipality. Take for this contact the Social Square
Consequences resident
Someone who is registered at a postal address does not count as a resident at that address. Are you, as a letter addresser, unsure about the consequences for your benefits or housing benefit, for example? Then it is best to ask the organization responsible for this for advice. Do this before giving permission.

- We will make a decision about the postal address within 4 weeks of receiving your application
- In some cases we ask you for additional information
