Moving away

Please report your move to us. This can be done from 4 weeks before to 5 days after your moving date.

Are you moving to Hilversum for longer than 4 months? Then you must register personally within 5 days of arrival.

Are you moving abroad for longer than 8 months? Please inform us of this within 5 days before departure. We will then deregister you.

You do not have a fixed residential address. For mail you can use a postal address.

You must inform the municipality of changes in your personal data in good time. If you don't, you could be fined.

You think that someone is registered at your address even though they do not live there (anymore). You can then request an address investigation.

If you are moving to the Netherlands for the first time or want to get married in the Netherlands, you will need documents from your country of origin.
