You want to sell alcohol in a catering business or liquor store. You must apply for an Alcohol Act permit (commercial). This permit used to be called the Liquor and Catering Act permit.

Terms & conditions
- Every manager you want to place on the appendix to the permit requires a Social Hygiene Declaration
- The managers are at least 21 years old
- The managers are not under guardianship and have good conduct. At least 1 manager listed on the certificate must be present during opening hours
- If the owner, the building or the business form changes (for example from a BV to a sole proprietorship, or additional partners in a general partnership) you must apply for a permit again.
- You do not sell alcohol to young people under the age of 18
What do you have to do
Send along
- Copy of a valid passport or ID card (not a driver's license) of the applicant and all (new) managers and lenders
- Employment contracts between entrepreneur and managers
- Form Law Bibob. You can download this with your permit application and send it completed and signed with the requested attachments
- Rental, purchase and/or lease agreement for the building and/or the company
- Situation drawing of the liquor store or catering business with any terraces. Scale 1:100: Also clearly indicate the sizes and the names of the locations
After your request
- We will only process your application once you have submitted all documents and data
- The decision for a permit takes approximately 8 weeks and can then be extended by 8 weeks if necessary

You also pay the costs if the permit is not granted or if you stop the application.
