You must report a party on your own property where the environment may be affected by the noise. There are conditions for throwing a party on your own property. Your own terrain is, for example, your garden, roof terrace or driveway.
What do you need to know
- You can organize a party on your own property a maximum of once a year per address
- The party may be organized between 12.00:23.00 and 12.00:0.00 (Sunday to Thursday) or between XNUMX:XNUMX and XNUMX:XNUMX (Friday and Saturday)
- You report the party at least 10 working days in advance
- Neighbors must receive a letter at least 3 days before the party. In this letter you state when the party is, who the contact person is during the party and at which phone number that person can be reached
- You ensure that your visit arrives and departs peacefully
- The sound of your party should be a maximum of 80 decibels. This is the sound of music, singing and speech. And measured at 5 meters from the sound system
- You must listen to instructions from the police, fire brigade or official
- If you do not comply with the conditions, your party may have to stop or be evicted
Exemption
- If your party does not meet the above conditions, you will need a noise nuisance exemption. For example, because you are going to make more noise or want to throw a longer party. An exemption is a permission to perform a certain activity
- The mayor and aldermen can grant an exemption. This only happens in special cases
