You are organizing a party in your company, association or community centre. Where you make a lot of noise or use more light. You report this at least 10 working days before your party. This allows you to make more sound and light. Sometimes you need an exemption. You request this at least 6 weeks before the party.

What do you need to know

  • You must report this at least 10 working days before your party. You will receive a confirmation of receipt from the municipality. Your party can then continue
  • You can make a maximum of 6 notifications per year. 4 of these can be outside for a party, on their own terrain
  • Neighbors must receive a letter about the party at least 3 days before the party
  • The maximum noise level should not exceed 80 dB(A) and 90 dB(C). This is measured at 5 meters from the facade of your company. For a party outside, this is 5 meters from your terrace
  • The additional sound or light may not start earlier than 07.00:10.00. Music may not start earlier than XNUMX:XNUMX
  • As a sports club, you can report that the sports lighting is on longer than 23.00:6. This is also allowed a maximum of XNUMX times per year. You indicate this in your report
  • Your party inside may end at 00.00 at the latest. Or half an hour before the closing time that applies to you in the Catering Regulation
  • Your outdoor party must always end at 23.00pm
  • You meet the conditions of article 4.8.3. of the general local ordinance

Open longer

If you are open longer due to a party, you will need an exemption for this. An exemption is a permission from the municipality. The exemption must be requested at least 6 weeks in advance.

  • Commercial catering companies: a maximum of 4 times a year
  • Sports associations: a maximum of 4 times a year until 04.00 a.m. at the latest
  • Club and community centers: a maximum of 4 times a year until 02.00 a.m. at the latest

Do you, as an association or foundation, want longer donation times? Request an exemption for gift times.

  • You can apply for this exemption a maximum of 6 times a year
  • You apply for the exemption at least 4 weeks before the party
