You want to organize a large event on or near the road where everyone is welcome. For example, a fair, party, parade or commemoration. Then you sometimes have to apply for a permit. Are you organizing a (new) event in Hilversum for the first time? Please contact the Events team first.
You first contact the Events team to discuss your plans.
What do you need to know
- You must apply for an event permit if you are organizing something such as a fair, parade, party or commemoration
- Not every event requires a permit. On the Report a neighborhood or street party or small event page you can see if you only need to report your event
- For most events you request the permit at least 8 weeks before the event
- Major events and new events must be requested at least 12 weeks before the event
- In addition to the event permit, you may also need permission for, for example, the use of the site and the serving of alcohol. The Events team will tell you more about this
- In addition to an event permit, you may also need an environmental permit. In Hilversum, 3 locations have been designated in the Environmental Plan where events may take place:
- Market Square
- Men's Square
- Old Port
- When organizing an event at another location, an environmental permit may be required in addition to the event permit. After you report to organize an event or a request, we will check this. If an environmental permit is also required, we will inform you of this
What do you have to do
- You first contact the Events team via the contact form. or you call with 14 035
- After you have been in contact, you can apply for the permit using DigiD or eHerkenning
Send along
When applying for a permit, you must submit a number of documents, such as:
- A map
- A plan for what you will do in emergency situations (disaster plan)
- A traffic plan
You will hear from an employee of the Events team which documents you need to send.
What does it cost
- The costs of an event permit (fees) depend on the type of event. You pay €183,50 or €458,80. This depends, for example, on the size of the event
- If the application is made later than 4 weeks before the planned start date, you will pay 100% on top of the above rate
- The costs can be found in the Fee ordinance
- You also pay these costs if the permit is not granted or if you stop the application
Other costs
There may be other costs involved. For example, for other permits, exemptions and the use of municipal resources
