We register and store your personal data in the Personal Records Database (BRP). If your data is incorrect, you can have it changed. This can be done by post or by making an appointment at the City Office.
What do you need to know
- We register and store your personal data in the Personal Records Database (BRP). Such as your surname, first names and citizen service number (BSN)
- The BRP also stores information about your address, nationality, children, parents, travel documents, marriage or registered partnership
- Op myoverheid.nl you can see under 'Personal data' which data is registered in the BRP
- If your data in the BRP is not correct, you can request us to correct your data. This can be done by post or email appointment at the City Office
- In case of corrections, we will inform you in writing that your data has been changed

- A valid proof of identity (passport, identity card, driving license or residence document)
- Documents that prove that your data is incorrect. We check your changes
