Sharing of personal data

You always have the right to know whether the municipality handles your (personal) data in the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP) with due care. You can request an overview of the organizations to whom and when we have provided your personal data. You can request the overview digitally or by making an appointment at the Municipal Office.

What do you need to know

  • We register and store your personal data in the Personal Records Database (BRP). Such as your surname, first names and citizen service number (BSN)
  • Some organizations may request your personal data. This is called a provision. Which organizations we may give your data to depends on your situation
  • If your data has been corrected, we are obliged to pass this on
  • Organizations to which we may give your data are, for example:
    •  The National Road Traffic Agency (RDW): for your driving licence 
    • The Social Insurance Bank (SVB): for your children (child benefit)

What do you have to do

  • Digital: You want to request an overview digitally. Click on the button at the top of the page and log in with your DigiD
  • Personal: You make an appointment via the button at the top of this page. You choose Product: Extract from the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP)
