Subsidy for the restoration of municipal monuments

If you are the owner of a municipal monument, you can apply for a subsidy for restoration. The municipality then contributes to the costs of maintaining or refurbishing your monument.

What do you have to do

Send along

  • Monument details
  • Details owner/applicant
  • Architect contact details (if you have one)
  • Executor data
  • Information about the restoration and the work
  • Environmental permit data (if applicable)
  • A precise budget of the costs with a job description. Such as working hours, material costs, costs of contractors and provisional items
  • A recent independent building inspection, which shows that the activities to be carried out are necessary
  • Photo documentation showing the current state of the property
  • Color research and building history research (if you have it)
  • Declaration of authorization (if you are not the owner yourself)

After your request

  • Only when you have submitted all documents and data, we will process your application
  • You can submit your application all year round
  • The municipality will make a decision about your complete application within 13 weeks
  • Payment of the subsidy is made afterwards: after the work has been carried out
