Your organization has been receiving a structural subsidy as a contribution for several years. You can make sure by applying for a multi-year basic subsidy. The multi-year basic subsidy is financial support for paying fixed costs and the substantive offer that your institution organizes.
What do you need to know
- The application round for the period from 2024 to 2027 is closed. It will be possible to apply for the subsidy scheme again in mid-2027
- The basic subsidy is intended to pay part of the fixed costs, for example the staff or the building of your organization. But it is also intended as a contribution to the substantive offering that your institution organizes
- If you want to organize a one-off cultural activity, you can program subsidy culture request
Purpose of the subsidy
With this scheme, the municipality of Hilversum wants to strengthen the position of cultural institutions in order to maintain Hilversum's cultural infrastructure. The activities of the institutions contribute to the cultural climate and to one or more policy principles as established in the cultural policy 'Momentum, a stage for all Hilversum residents': Experience & Do, Sustainable & Robust and Art accessible and around you. By granting multi-year subsidies, institutions gain more certainty, which enables them to initiate long-term developments.
Who can apply
- The applicant is a professional cultural organization
- The applicant is active in the municipality of Hilversum and provides a long-term cultural offering that is primarily aimed at residents of the municipality of Hilversum
- The applicant receives an annual subsidy of more than €100.000 and has at least 1 full-time employee
- The applicant does not aim to make a profit (profit intention)
Result
- Your application must meet the General subsidy regulation 2021
- The municipality will assess your application based on the subsidy scheme for multi-year basic subsidies for Culture
- The municipality will check whether your application fits within the framework art and cultural policy 'Momentum, a stage for all Hilversum residents' (PDF, 7MB)

Send along
- A multi-year activity plan describing the activities or the performance to be delivered. Explain how the activities can be seen in the budget
- A budget and a coverage plan for the costs of these activities
- Annual report and annual accounts of the previous year, if these are not already available at the municipality

After your request
- An application can be submitted until October 1, 2023
- Only when you have submitted all documents and data, we will process your application
- The municipality will make a decision no later than December 31 of the year in which you submitted the application
- You will receive the municipality's decision (decision) by email
