What do you need to know
- A Wmo taxi is for people who can no longer travel themselves and do not have people in their area who can help
- In some situations you can also temporarily use a Wmo taxi. For example, if you have had an operation
- You discuss your situation with a Wmo consultant from the municipality. If taxi transport is the best solution for you, you will receive a Wmo taxi pass
- Using a Wmo taxi costs money. You pay a starting amount per trip and then per kilometer
- From your home address you travel a maximum of 25 kilometers per trip
- For travel outside the region, travel with valys. This is a national organization that arranges door-to-door transport outside your own region. For this Valys travel service you need a separate Apply for a Valys pass
- A Wmo taxi works differently than a regular taxi† For example, you travel together with other pass holders. This means that the taxi ride may take longer than you are used to
Traveling with the Wmo taxi
You can use the Wmo taxi to travel to:
- Family and friends
- An association or club for sport or hobby
- The library, cinema, theater and shops
- Your general practitioner, hospital specialist, physiotherapist and dentist
A Wmo taxi is not intended for:
- Transport to day care: Transport to day care or day treatment
- Transport to work: UWV resources for transport
- Transport to school: student transport or UWV aids for transport
