You want to continue living at home, but you need help with this. This is already possible with minor adjustments or tools. Family, friends, neighbors or volunteers can often help you with this.
What do you need to know
There are many solutions for which you do not need permission from the municipality. You can arrange these help and resources yourself:
- Borrow or rent aids: such as a threshold aid, shower or wheelchair. You can borrow this via Vegro Home Care Stores. The first half year is often free. You can then rent the tools
- Buy aids: such as a wall bracket, safety mat or toilet raiser. The resource pointer gives you even more ideas. You can buy this at medipoint or for example at a hardware store
- Help at home: such as weeding, cleaning windows, shopping or replacing light bulbs. For example via amaris of Versa Wellbeing
- Personal care: if you need care, for example if you can no longer shower yourself, please request help from your GP
- Have groceries delivered: if you can no longer do the shopping yourself, your neighbors may be able to help. You can also order your groceries online and have them delivered to your home. For example by Albert Heijn, Jumbo, picnic of Plus
- Ordering food: if you can no longer cook yourself, you can use a meal service. This means that food is cooked for you. For example by Appetite, Gooie table, home cooked, Cooked out of Fresh at the table
