What is guardianship or guardianship?
Administration is a legal, protective measure taken by the court for people over the age of 18 who are unable to properly manage their money and assets. Control over money and assets is transferred to someone else, a trustee. If you have a low income or benefits and are unable to pay the costs for the administrator yourself, the municipality of Hilversum will pay those costs.
When guardianship
Placing someone under guardianship does not just happen. There is often a disability, problematic debts or bankruptcy and inheritance. Guardianship protects third parties and prevents abuse of the financial situation. You can also apply for guardianship for someone else if that person no longer has their financial situation under control.
