Replacing bank protection Hilversumse Meent

What do we do

The work will be divided into 2 phases.

Phase 1

Because we are working very close to the homes in phase 1, we would like to get in touch with the residents. In early September 2024, residents will receive a letter from us. In the letter, residents are given the opportunity to schedule a meeting with the project manager and the contractor. The meetings will take place in September and October, at a time that suits the residents.

• During the first phase we will start work behind the houses from Goudwespmeent 87 to Meikevermeent 54
• A steel sheet pile is installed in front of the existing revetment
• Along some parts, a steel sheet pile wall is already present. This will be retained. The space between the bank and the sheet pile wall will be filled with rubble

Phase 2

• During the second phase we will start working from Meikevermeent 54 towards Hommelmeent up to the Grasmeent. Several types of bank protection will be applied here, if possible nature-friendly
• Furthermore, wooden revetments or steel sheet piles are installed

Nuisance

The work will probably cause some inconvenience. The revetments are being installed from the water. We therefore ask for your understanding and cooperation.
