HOV in 't Gooi

Everyone in 't Gooi should be able to travel easily by public transport. That is why a faster bus connection is being built between Huizen and Hilversum, which the electric buses will use. Much attention is also paid to sustainability, a healthy living environment and nature.

The project

  • HOV is an abbreviation of High-Quality Public Transport (HOV).
  • This project provides, among other things, a fast bus connection between Hilversum and Huizen, a nature bridge and more road safety
  • It is a project of the municipalities of Hilversum, Blaricum, Laren, Eemnes, Huizen and the province of North Holland.
  • ProRail, the Goois nature reserve and Rijkswaterstaat are also involved in the project
  • The project is made possible in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW).
  • The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022
