Parking permit entrepreneurs

What do you need to know

• Hilversum has several parking areas where you have to pay for parking
• If there is no waiting list for the area, the permit will be issued immediately after payment
• The parking permit is registered on license plate and is valid for 1 car
• The application for a license for a lease or company car takes a maximum of 5 working days
• You cannot park in shopping streets with your parking permit. You must then buy a ticket

Terms & conditions

• The vehicle has a valid Dutch registration
• The vehicle is registered in the name of the company
• In a sole proprietorship, the vehicle may be in its own name
• Your company is registered with the Chamber of Commerce at an address in the license area
• The vehicle is no longer than 6 meters or higher than 2,40 meters and no heavier than 3500 kilos
• You do not have your own parking facility, such as a parking space on your own property or a parking garage
• Special conditions apply for a business parking permit in the city center parking area. Among other things, you must be able to show that it is necessary that you park close to your company

Valid for how long

• Due to the switch to a new system, your permit after application is valid until June 30, 2024. From July 1, 2024, we will extend the parking permits indefinitely. To do this, you must (re)apply for your permit once
• In April 2024 you will receive a letter stating how you can apply for your indefinite parking permit
• If anything changes, you can adjust or cancel a parking permit. For example if you have a different license plate

What do you have to do

• You can request a business parking permit for the city center parking area by sending an e-mail to publiekszaken@hilversum.nl
• For the other parking areas you can apply for a business parking permit via the Digital Parking Desk
• For this application you will need the following:
  • eHerkenning (level EH2 with the option location number)
  • Registration certificate
  • Possibly a copy of the lease contract (for lease cars)
  • Your Chamber of Commerce (Chamber of Commerce) number
• You pay your permit immediately via iDeal

Request at the counter

If you do not want to apply for the permit online, you can go to the desk in the Municipal Office. You create a Appointment.

Take to appointment

• Identification
• Registration certificate
• Possibly a copy of the lease contract (for lease cars)
• Your Chamber of Commerce (Chamber of Commerce) number
• Debit card or cash

If you apply for the permit during the year, you pay the full amount.
