Parking permit carer

You can request a parking permit for your carer via the Digital Parking Desk. With this permit, your informal carer can park for free in the permit area for a maximum of 120 hours per quarter.

Please note!

The parking permit that you applied for via this website is valid until July 1, 2024. We are switching to a new system. That is why you must also apply for a parking permit from the Parking Service Cooperative for the period after July 1, 2024. This can be done via www.parkeerservice.nl/hilversum.

What do you need to know

  • You live independently at an address in a parking permit area
  • You are registered with this address in the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP)
  • Your informal carer provides care for at least 8 hours per week and for more than 3 months
  • Your informal carer provides care tasks that general care does not provide. Think of personal care or groceries
  • Your informal carer is not paid for providing care
  • Your informal carer is not affiliated with a voluntary organisation
  • You will receive a maximum of 1 informal care permit per address
  • We will contact you within 2 weeks of your request
     

Valid for how long

  • Due to the switch to a new system, your informal care permit is valid until June 30, 2024 after application. From July 2024, we will extend the permits indefinitely. To do this, you must (re)apply for your informal care permit once
  • You will receive a letter in April 2024 stating how you can apply for your informal care permit for an indefinite period  

What do you have to do

  • Request via the Digital Parking Desk† You need your DigiD for this
  • You need 1 of the following documents for your application:
    • Explanation (an indication) that (informal) care is necessary for you from CIZ, Bureau Jeugdzorg, your health insurer or the municipality of Hilversum
    • A certificate from your GP stating that informal care is necessary for you
    • Proof that you have received a voluntary care assessment from the municipality for your voluntary carer

If you do not want to apply for the permit online, you can go to the desk in the Municipal Office. You create a Appointment.

  • Your ID
  • 1 of the following documents:
    • Explanation (an indication) that (informal) care is necessary for you from CIZ, Bureau Jeugdzorg, your health insurer or the municipality of Hilversum
    • Proof that you have received a voluntary care assessment from the municipality for your voluntary carer

A parking permit for informal caregivers is free. You can park for free in the permit area for up to 120 hours per quarter.
