You can request a public charging station near your home or work address. The application and placement is free. It can take more than 5 months before a charging station is installed. The municipality does not place charging stations on your own property. You must arrange this yourself.
What do you need to know
- You have an electric car that can drive at least 45 kilometers electrically
- You can only request a charging station if there is no existing charging point within 300 meters of your home or work address. On the charging card from MRA-Elektrisch you can see where public charging stations are and are still being installed
- You can request a public charging station if there is a charging station within 300 meters of your home or work address that is used more than half of the time
- Only public charging points will be installed that everyone can use
- The municipality will not install a public charging station if you have your own site where you can park. In that case, the municipality expects you to place a (private) charging station on your own property
- If you have a parking garage or parking lot with other residents, you can arrange a charging station through the Association of Owners (VvE)
- Not every place is suitable for the installation of a charging station. The municipality, MRA-E and entrepreneur (charging station operator) look together at the most suitable place
- When a suitable place has been found for the charging station, we will announce this in The Gooi and Eembode. That's called a traffic order
- After the announcement of the traffic decree, the grid operator will start preparations for installing the charging station
- The time between the request for a charging station and the installation of the charging station takes at least 5 months
- If you have ordered an electric car, send your application for a charging station in advance. A purchase contract or contract with the leasing company is enough to start the application
- You can also use semi-public charging stations. These are charging stations on private property that everyone can use

- Together with MRA-Elektrisch and the provider of the charging stations, the municipality will look at where a new charging point can be placed in the vicinity of your address.
It takes at least 5 months before the charging station is installed.
