Objection to parking fine

In Hilversum you have to pay to park in several areas. If you pay too little or no parking fee, you will receive a parking fine of up to €79,70. If you do not agree with the fine, you can object to ParkeerService within 6 weeks.

What do you need to know

  • You will receive a parking fine (additional tax assessment) if you do not pay or pay too little at the parking meter, if you have not registered a registration number or if you do not have a valid permit
  • You will receive a parking fine and payment request from ParkingService sent home. You must pay the fine within 7 working days
  • If you do not pay within 7 working days, a reminder will be sent via ParkingService
  • If you do not pay on time after the reminder, you will receive a reminder. You pay extra costs for this
  • If you do not agree with the fine, you must submit a notice of objection within 6 weeks of receiving the parking fine. ParkingService

Do object

  • You can prove that you have paid for the correct license plate, location and time or that you have a permit
  • Your vehicle has been stolen. Or the registration in the vehicle registration register is incorrect. You must then enclose a copy of the proof
  • You have rented out the vehicle for a maximum of 3 months and you are regarded as a taxpayer for no reason. You must then enclose a copy of the rental agreement with name, address and signature
  • You can prove that you were in a private parking space

Don't object

  • You did not have your permit clearly visible behind your windscreen
  • You were not aware that you had to pay parking fees. Because you found the parking zone unclearly indicated or if you could not find the parking meter
  • You were exchanging money
  • You only stopped to wait for someone. If you take a parking space, you have to pay for it. Even if it's just for a minute
  • You were loading and unloading. If the parking inspector cannot check this on the spot, you are parking and a fine will be issued
  • You were just late getting back to your vehicle for whatever reason. There are no exceptions
  • You parked longer than the maximum parking time
  • You do not agree with the amount of the parking costs or the amount of the fine
  • The parking machine was malfunctioning
