If you have a disabled parking permit (DPP), you can apply for a disabled parking space (DPP) based on your license plate. This is only possible if you cannot park on your own property. You can apply for, modify, or cancel a disabled parking space (DPP) online using your DigiD or eHerkenning.
What do you need to know
- You apply for a GPP with license plate if you have a GPP for Driver (valid for 5 years)
- The car is in your name
- You do not have your own parking space at your home
- There is no public parking available nearby
- In areas where you have to pay for parking You can also apply for a GPP based on your license plate. This parking space counts towards the number of parking permits you are allowed to have.
- Processing your application and setting up the parking space takes a maximum of 8 weeks
- We recommend that you inform your neighbors that you have applied for a GPP
Change
- You have bought a new car: The municipality will replace the license plate within 3 weeks
- You are moving within Hilversum: We treat a move as a new application, because a new assessment has to be made. The treatment lasts a maximum of 8 weeks. After treatment, the sign will be moved to another location at your new address. This will take up to 3 weeks
Terminate rental
- You no longer drive a car, no longer have a driver's license, are moving outside Hilversum or no longer use the GPP
- In the event of death, the family of the deceased can cancel the GPP
- The municipality will remove the sign within 3 weeks
What do you have to do
- You can apply for, adjust or cancel the GPP online:

- Within a maximum of 8 weeks you will receive an e-mail whether your application has been approved
