Disabled Parking (GPP)

What do you need to know

• You can request a disabled parking space with registration number if you have a disabled parking card for Driver (valid for 5 years)
• The car is in your name
• You do not have your own parking space at your home
• There is no public parking available nearby
• In areas where you have to pay for parking you can also request a disabled parking space based on license plate. This parking space counts towards the number of parking permits you are allowed to have
• Processing your application and setting up the parking space takes a maximum of 8 weeks
• We recommend that you let your neighbors know that you have applied for a disabled parking space

Change

• You have bought a new car: The municipality will replace the license plate within 3 weeks
• You are moving within Hilversum: We treat a move as a new application, because a new assessment has to be made. The treatment lasts a maximum of 8 weeks. After treatment, the sign will be moved to another location at your new address. This will take up to 3 weeks

Terminate rental

• You no longer drive a car, no longer have a driver's license, move outside Hilversum or no longer use the disabled parking space
• In the event of death, the family of the deceased can cancel the disabled parking space
• The municipality will remove the sign within 3 weeks

What do you have to do

• You can request, adjust or cancel your disabled parking space online:
  • You need your DigiD or eHerkenning for this
  • Within a maximum of 8 weeks you will receive an e-mail whether your application has been approved
• Requests can also be made by post:
  • For the application form, call 14 035
  • You will receive a letter within a maximum of 8 weeks whether your application has been approved
• If your application is approved, the parking will be built within a maximum of 3 weeks

• You can send a situation drawing or photo to indicate the place properly

• The new registration certificate

Needed when canceling at the counter

• Copy of identification
• In the event of death, proof of identity from heirs

What does it cost

If the disabled parking space is not given or if you stop the request, you will receive 50% of the costs back.
