Death abroad What you need to arrange if your partner, family member, boyfriend or girlfriend dies abroad.
Leave for burial or cremation You can have a deceased person buried or cremated. You need permission from the municipality for this. This is called a leave for burial/cremation.
Transport of the deceased (laissez-passer) With a laissez-passer (permission for transport) you can have a deceased person transported abroad. The municipality where the person died must approve this transport.
