Have you ever thought about a facade garden? That is a strip of greenery between your house and the sidewalk. You can do this on your own or together with your neighbors. We will help you with the installation. You can visit the Sustainability Center for an information package with tips and flower seeds.
This is how it works
You submit an application for both a tree pit and a facade garden. The neighbourhood manager assesses whether the location is suitable. Sometimes an application cannot proceed, for example due to underground cables and pipes or traffic safety concerns. You will always receive an explanation regarding this. Has your application been approved? Then you can pick up an information package with tips and flower seeds at the Sustainability Centre. You can also get advice from Hilversum100.
Help with the installation
We assist you with the installation. We adjust the paving for a facade garden or to enlarge a tree pit. We do this twice a year: in the spring and in the autumn. Additionally, we place a marker at your tree pit or facade garden. This lets our managers know that you are maintaining the greenery.
