Report criminal behavior

Your gut feeling tells you that something is not right. Or you think there is a cannabis nursery near you. Report nuisance and criminal activities (subversion) to the municipality. We will investigate your report together with the police.

What do you need to know

Criminal Activities

You can report (suspicion of) criminal activities to the municipality, the police or anonymously. For example:

  • Drugs, for example a cannabis farm
  • Fraud, corruption or money laundering
  • Human trafficking or exploitation of people
  • Violence
  • Burglaries or theft
  • Nuisance of a person or of groups

undermining

Subversion is a form of crime in which the boundaries between the upper world ('ordinary' society) and the underworld (criminals) blur. The criminals need the upper world to carry out their criminal activities.

This is how you recognize undermining

  • Rent a property and start a hemp plantation in it
  • Renting a car and transporting illegal items or committing a thief
  • Starting a (so called) business to launder money

The activities of criminals often take place secretly. But for those who pay attention, things are visible. Think of:

  • A shop, restaurant, nail studio where (almost) never a customer comes
  • A car company that is never open during the day
  • A tenant who only wants to pay large amounts in cash
  • A house where unknown people walk in and out at all kinds of times
  • A business property that always has a different owner

This is how you recognize a cannabis farm

  • strange smell
  • Fogged or taped windows
  • Activities at night around the property
  • Visitors who stay short
  • No snow on the roof

This is how you recognize money laundering

  • A building has been empty for a long time
  • No company website
  • Not everything is credited to the cash register
  • Business continues to exist even if there are (almost) no customers
  • Preference for cash payment and/or a lot of cash in your pocket
  • There is never activity in a building where you would expect it

How to recognize human trafficking

  • Not having your own proof of identity
  • Not knowing your own home address
  • Long working days
  • People are taken to work and picked up again
  • A lot of people live in 1 house at the same time
  • Signs of Violence
  • Have to hand over earned money to someone else
  • In addition to work, employment agency or employer also arranges housing or transport, for example
  • Bad working and/or living conditions
  • Person is always accompanied by others
