Van den Top got acquainted with Nederhorst den Berg and the people who live there. He visited several important places in the village. Residents were warmly welcomed at pancake house 't Spiegelhuys to engage in conversation with both mayors. Afterwards, they visited various locations in the village, including the Willie Dasplein, heritage sites, and the beautiful nature. At every spot, residents shared their own stories about the significance of these places to their village.
Presentation of the village coat of arms
A fixed part of the visits to the villages is the presentation of the village coat of arms. The coat of arms of Nederhorst den Berg was handed over to Mayor Gerhard Van den Top at the Old Town Hall. As soon as the merger is complete, the coat of arms will be engraved on a link of the new mayor's chain of office. In this way, each village literally receives a permanent place in the chain.
Building the future together
With this visit, Nederhorst den Berg showed what the village stands for: a close-knit community with active associations. It demonstrates that residents can create wonderful things together.
