Small Railroad Trees

Road safety at the Kleine Spoorbomen between Koninginneweg and Noorderweg will be improved.

Explanation

The municipality of Hilversum wants to make the 'Kleine Spoorbomen' railway crossing safer for traffic. Research into this has been carried out together with ProRail in recent years. Residents contributed their thoughts during residents' evenings and in working groups. Based on the research and advice from residents, the municipal council agreed on May 6, 2020 with the proposal to close the Small Spoortrees to car traffic (Solution KL29, Level crossing closed to car traffic). This decision was further elaborated in 2021 together with a working group of local residents. The elaboration concerns the immediate surroundings of the railway crossing: the 2 crossings on both sides of the railway crossing and the Noorderweg between the Larenseweg and the Simon Stevinweg. On October 6, 2021, the municipal council approved the plan and the additional traffic measures.
