You are building or renovating and you want to know about your house number and the other address details of your (living) space.
What do you need to know
- The municipality determines street names and issues house numbers to new homes and commercial buildings
- When buildings are demolished, or when (living) spaces are split or merged, things sometimes change with house numbers. For example at the converted into apartments
- House numbers are listed in the Key Register of Addresses and Buildings (BAG)
- With the BAGViewer you can look up and view data from the National Supply BAG (LV BAG) online
- Note: The BAG has no information about your move within or to Hilversum
What do you have to do
- Usually you cannot apply for a house number yourself. This almost always goes through a environmental permit
- If you have received a permit, a house number decision will be made automatically if necessary. It states what your new house number is
- This also applies if a house number is no longer necessary when you renovate two or more (living) spaces into one space
- In exceptional cases, you can contact the Public Affairs department, Back Office team, via 14 035 of environment permit@hilversum.nl
What does it cost
- Requesting a house number or having it removed is free
