You want to remove or demolish asbestos (or have it removed). You must then always make a report. You hereby indicate that you will be carrying out demolition work on a certain date, in which materials containing asbestos will be demolished, removed and disposed of. Notification is free.

Asbestos in your home is best removed by an expert (certified) company. Below are examples when you run it through a certified company have to do:
- Your asbestos roof has already been damaged
- The asbestos you want to remove is more than 35m2
- You have roof slates containing asbestos
- The asbestos roof is located on a commercial building
Report and dump asbestos
- You must first notify us that you are going to remove asbestos. This can be done for free and online via the Environment counter
- If the message is correct, you will receive a confirmation. You need this confirmation when depositing the asbestos at the GAD separation station in Hilversum
- It usually is mandatory an asbestos inventory report to be supplied if asbestos may be present in the structure being demolished

Apply for a permit
- Are you going to have one? monument demolition or a structure within a protected city view then you also need an environmental permit for demolition
- The environmental plan may sometimes impose requirements on demolition
- You can view an environmental plan and the associated former zoning plans via Rules on the card
- We recommend that you only start demolition 6 weeks after the permit has been granted if no objection has been submitted
- We advise you to discuss your plans with your neighbors in advance
