What do you need to know
- In a number of areas in Hilversum there is little chance that you will get a permit
- Ordered before room occupancy (rent rooms) different rules apply
Feasibility study
- Before you decide to work out a plan in its entirety, you can feasibility study have it done
- You will then know whether the municipality can participate in the plan
- On average it takes 4 to 6 weeks before you receive an answer
Buildings and Living Environment Decree (Bbl)
- The new independent homes must comply with the Buildings and Living Environment Decree (Bbl)
- Smoke detectors that comply with the new construction level of the Building Decree (NEN 2555, including linked to the mains) are mandatory in Hilversum
Parking requirements
- For the new homes, parking spaces must be created on site
- Depending on the location and value of the homes, 1,3 to 1,6 parking spaces must be constructed per home
Split permit
In Hilversum, no division permit is yet required for the cadastral division into apartment rights. Major problems can arise when splitting and selling illegally built apartments. That is why we recommend that before a cadastral splitting, a careful investigation into the issued (granted) permits for the building concerned. Licenses granted can be viewed at the Regional archive.
What do you have to do
To convert an existing building into several apartments, you must Environment counter complete the 'other changes' section. Depending on the type of renovation, you may also need to check other categories.

What does it cost
