Additional functions of top civil servants

Some civil servants also have an (un)paid position in addition to their profession as civil servants. This is called an ancillary function. In order to prevent conflicts of interest, civil servants with the highest positions (top civil servants) must have additional positions on the municipal website.

An ancillary position is a paid (paid) or unpaid (unpaid) position that someone performs in addition to their main profession. Such as treasurer or chairman of a parent committee or football club. In some positions, this can create a conflict of interest and it should not be. Because this means that sometimes a person has to make choices that are contradictory. For example: choice A would be best for the main occupation, while choice B would be best for the secondary job.

In order to avoid this conflict of interest, civil servants must always disclose their additional positions. For senior civil servants, the additional positions must also be listed on this municipal website. That's in the Regulations for disclosure of additional positions of top civil servants.
