The council believes it's important for residents to have a voice. Therefore, time is reserved during committee meetings for residents who wish to share their opinions.

For example, think of:

  • give your opinion about plans for your neighborhood or district
  • drawing attention to problems in the municipality
  • exert influence on decisions taken by the municipal council
  • standing up for your interests and those of your neighborhood or district

To voice your opinion at the committee meeting, you must register in advance. If you wish to express your opinion on a topic on the agenda, please register no later than 12:00 noon on the day of the meeting. If you wish to express your opinion on a topic of your own, you must register no later than 24 hours in advance, including the discussion points you wish to present to the committee. You may also register earlier. The clerk's office will then discuss the best option with you. The manner in which you speak depends on the topic. You may speak on your own behalf or on behalf of a group of residents.
