Introduction

I have been living happily and with my children in Hilversum for many years. Over the years I have experienced how nice it is to contribute to your immediate (living) environment. In the school newspaper editors of my secondary school in Castricum, as a board member of student association Sint Jansbrug in Delft, reading parent at the Violenschool, chairman of the Albertus Perk monument working group, referee at Victoria. And since 2018 as a council member, a wonderful and honorable way to contribute to Hilversum.
In addition to council work, I work nationally as an independent architect "primary care": new construction and renovation of general practices and health centers.

Motivation

Based on my training and experience as an architect, I have focused on the spatial planning and sustainability portfolios and as committee chairman during the past term of office. I am also happy to use that political experience during this council term.

GroenLinks Hilversum has something to offer. I am convinced that we, together with the other parties in the council, make a visible contribution to a greener, fairer and more inclusive Hilversum.

These are turbulent times. Trust is not self-evident. Not in the political arena. And not outside the Town Hall. I believe in cooperation and trust instead of individual scoring and distrust. In listening instead of transmitting. Alone you go fast, together you go further. Also in Hilversum.
