Introduction
For the past 3 years I have been living with my husband and 3 children aged 6, 8 and 9 (in 2022) in the Trompenberg district in Hilversum. It is a privilege to live there. What a fantastic neighborhood!
I was raised by my father. My mother had died young. My father was a doer (hard worker without much money), bon vivant and freedom thinker. He has given me wonderful life lessons such as: take the rest to live, show your own responsibility and follow your moral compass. I would like to follow his lessons, now that he is also gone. Because he had many silent and less silent followers who, just like him, wanted to make the world a little better for themselves and their offspring.
In my working life I like to contribute to making the world a better place for everyone. I am an expert in the field of preventing and resolving mass claims. Examples include the Supplementary Affair, the Groninger Gas Drilling and the Woekerpolis Affair. These examples are full of dynamism and politics. Mass claim settlement ensures that every player in the market is equally strong to be able to claim his rights. As a result, I indirectly contribute to the optimal functioning of the economy in the Netherlands and beyond.
Motivation
I would very much like to use my expertise in the field of mass claims and my passion for society in general for the municipality of Hilversum.
I do this by focusing on the following topics in our municipality on behalf of D66:
- Promoting housing and greenery in Hilversum;
- Modifying inconsistent and unreasonable policies; and
- Promoting more culture and liveliness.
I am a go-getter, someone who tackles and solves a file in a strategic but human way.
With me on the Council you have a great team player who likes and monitors good group dynamics. Plus someone who doesn't shy away from problems but takes the bull by the horns and goes for it until the problem is solved.
Before we came to live in Hilversum, we lived for years in the center of Amsterdam. My cradle has not been there either: it was in Brabant. In the middle of Eindhoven. This background does not make me a lesser Hilversummer. I too have come to love Hilversum and I want to dedicate myself with heart and soul to the interests of our Hilversum. The fact that I have also lived elsewhere ensures that I can also take up 'rusted' problem subjects with a fresh, innovative view and, if necessary, come up with future-proof solutions.
