If your home or business space is connected to the municipal sewerage system, you pay a sewerage charge. You pay for maintenance, for the drainage and management of waste water, rainwater and groundwater.
What do you need to know
- On 1 January you are the owner of a house or building that is connected to the sewer. Your rainwater goes through a well to the sewer. You then pay sewerage charges
- If you are the owner after 1 January, you will pay the sewage charge the following year. The buyer and the seller can make arrangements with the civil-law notary about the payment of the difference in the sewage charge
