Taxes paid late

Each assessment notice states the date on which you must have paid. This is the due date. On this page you can read what happens if you pay too late.

What do you need to know

Expiration date

Each assessment notice from us states the date by which you must have paid. That is the due date.

Free payment reminder

If you do not pay your municipal taxes on time, the municipality will first send you a free payment reminder.

You must then transfer the amount within 14 days.

Tax reminder

If you do not pay the municipal taxes on time and you do not respond to our free payment reminder, the municipality will send you a reminder. You must pay the costs for a reminder yourself. These costs depend on the amount of the assessment and are €9 or €19.

You must then transfer the amount within 14 days.

Tax enforcement order

If you do not pay the municipal taxes on time, and you do not respond to our free payment reminder and also not to the notice, the municipality will send you a writ of execution. You must pay the costs for a writ of execution yourself. These costs depend on the amount of the assessment and are at least €49. You must then transfer the amount within 2 days.

Bailiff taxes

Have you received a letter about the announcement of a visit by a bailiff? Then you should contact the bailiff. The bailiff's contact details can be found in the letter.

Crossed payment

If the entire outstanding amount is credited to the municipality's account number before or on the date of the reminder or writ of execution, this is considered a cross-payment. You will then not owe any reminder or writ of execution costs.

If the amount is credited after the date of the writ of execution, then you are liable for the costs. It can take 3 days before your payment is visible to us.
